Our Village

Newsletter September 8, 2025 Together, we're #keepingitsacred...

A Special Message from our KITS Digital Marketing Director, Molly Flanagan:

I am so grateful to be celebrating this High Holy Day season with all of you. As we prepare for these sacred days, I wanted to take you behind the scenes to share just how many hands and hearts help bring our celebrations to life. Truly, it takes a village!

In addition to the visionary leadership of Rabbi Heather Miller, we are honored to welcome Cantorial Soloist Rachel Rothman, who will lift our spirits during the Days of Awe with her inspiring voice. We are equally fortunate to be joined by Kimberly Dueñas, a gifted community builder and healer, who will guide us through the second day of Rosh Hashanah.

Behind the scenes, the talented Tamir and I will ensure that everything runs seamlessly online, supporting the new members of our tech team, Aaron and Brandon who will support our work in person. That's right: this year, for Yom Kippur, we are thrilled to gather in person (and online) from a brand-new location in Sherman Oaks, California. It will be a high holy day season to remember!

Even more special, this season marks Keeping It Sacred’s 5th anniversary! I am so excited to meet many of you in person in Los Angeles for this milestone. I was lucky enough to join this community during my senior year of college, and I’ve had the joy of watching it grow alongside me. Together we have built amazing connections, and I can’t wait to celebrate what we’ve created—together.

To help us have the most meaningful High Holy Day experience, we’ll be sending out a Google form for you to complete shortly after your registration. This will allow us to prepare thoughtfully for our programming and also provides space for you to share the names of those you are holding in your heart for healing and in remembrance. Please take a few minutes to fill it out by September 20th so we can honor your intentions in our services.

We can’t wait to step into this sacred season together—with gratitude, community, and joy.

This is how we’re keeping it sacred. Together, we’re #keepingitsacred

Best,

Molly Flanagan
