Rosh Hashanah Edition

The Jewish new year known as Rosh Hashanah begins Wednesday night! This is a time to pause and appreciate the creation of the world. The sky and stars and trees, oceans, mountains, animals and plants. We take in the beauty and abundance all around. 

At this season, pomegranates famously ripen on the bush. And in Judaism, the pomegranate symbolizes this time of year, and it also symbolizes our learning. How? Because there are 613 Commandments in the Torah, and the Sages suggest that there must also be 613 seeds in the pomegranate. Each little bit of wisdom bursting with sweet flavor and refreshment. And, if you’re like me, you are seeking refreshment and renewal at this time. 

This year, the entire Keeping It Sacred team has been preparing a comprehensive High Holy Day experience meant to explore, inspire and renew our spirits. Please know that you are heartily invited to join in this programming to pause and reflect on the past year and ready ourselves for the year beginning. You can register here: keepingitsacred.com/upcoming
